#1 Gossip is a deadly poison that kills relationships!
The tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. James 3:5
A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends. Proverbs 16:28
#2 Speak life. Other than that, shut your mouth!
Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:29
#3 God loves you despite your issues, so you must love others despite theirs!
We love each other because he loved us first. If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers. 1 John 4:19-21
#4 Live out real love!
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
#5 Make allowance for messes & then let love fill in the gaps!
Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:12-14
#6 When you’ve been hurt, go only to the person who offended you & talk it out in love!
“If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back. But if you are unsuccessful, take one or two others with you and go back again, so that everything you say may be confirmed by two or three witnesses. Matthew 18:15-16
